7. How do I collect Points with Retail Partners?

7.1 How to collect Points with our Retail Partners – general terms 

Members can collect Points on their transactions with Retail Partners provided that the activity or transaction meets three basic conditions. It must be: 

  • tracked – the Partner must be able to connect (track) the activity or transaction to you as a Member. For more information on this, see paragraph 7.2.3 below; 
  • genuine – the activity or transaction must be genuine and not, say, fraudulent. It must also be in your name as a Member and for you and not for someone else. It will be at the Partner's entire discretion to determine whether an activity or transaction is genuine and you acknowledge that we will not be liable for any Points where a Partner has deemed that it isn't; 
  • successful – the activity or transaction must be successful. – so, for example, the activity or transaction must not be declined or cancelled (even where there is a right of cancellation). The activity or transaction may be unsuccessful if, for example, the goods purchased are returned. Points may be declined if all or part of your order is returned, amended or cancelled. 

If your activity or transaction meets these conditions, we treat it as a "Qualifying Transaction" and any Points collected are allocated to your Account. In some instances, your Points will be classified as 'pending' on your Account while we check that the conditions mentioned above have been satisfied. Once this has happened, then your Points will be available for use. You will be able to check when your Points are likely to be available for you to use by viewing your online Account statement. 

Some other exclusions may apply which mean that a transaction may not be treated as a Qualifying Transaction, and you will not be able to collect Points on it.  See paragraph 7.2. 

7.2 How to collect Points with our Retail Partners – specific terms 

What else do you need to know about collecting Points with our Retail Partners

7.2.1 All the transactions you make are directly with the Retail Partners, and not us. When you make a purchase via the Website with a Retail Partner, it is tracked using cookies or various other technologies (through the Retail Partner's affiliate tracking network) which allow the Retail Partner to identify that a purchase has been made, who made it and where it came from.  

7.2.2 Once the Retail Partner has identified the purchase and acknowledged it, it will show up in your account as ‘pending’.  Once we have received the commission from the Retail Partner, it will then show up in your account as ‘Paid’.  Once this has happened, then your Points will be available for use. You will be able to check when your Points are likely to be available for you to use by viewing your online Account statement.  For more information, please view our FAQ’s.  

7.2.3 Points are only paid on transactions where your purchase has been tracked to your Account and you have received a notification from the Retail Partner (or its affiliate tracking network) that your purchase has been tracked as a Qualifying Transaction.   In order for a Retail Partner to track your transaction, you must ensure that: 

  1. you click through to the Retail Partner via the ‘Shop to Collect Points’ button on the relevant Retail Partner’s page on the Website, and not via any other link;
  2. once you have clicked through via the 'Shop to Collect Points', you complete your purchase without clicking away from the Retail Partner website to another website or allowing your browser session to lapse or clearing cookies; and
  3. you are logged into your Account when you make your purchase, and that it is valid (and not terminated or disabled).

7.2.4 You acknowledge and agree that in order for us and the Retail Partner (through its affiliate tracking agency) to track and confirm your purchase (as explained at paragraphs 7.2.1 and 7.2.3 above), the affiliate network will share the order ID relating to your purchase with us. 

7.2.5 If you notify us that a transaction has not been reported in your Account as you anticipated (a ‘Claim’) we will use reasonable endeavours to investigate such Claim with the Retail Partner (or its affiliate tracking agency) although we may, at our discretion, cease investigations at any point.  Please note that transactions typically take 10 days to track and appear in your Account.  For more information, please view our FAQ’s. 

7.2.6  You acknowledge that the Retail Partner's decision is final in relation to the payment of commission to us and in turn, our decision is final in relation to paying Points to you. We will make all reasonable endeavours to secure the payment of commission on a transaction but we do not and cannot make any guarantee in this regard. In the event we do not receive the expected commission for a transaction for whatever reason, we will not be liable to pay the relevant Points to you.  We may also refuse to pay Points to you where we consider (acting reasonably) that the other provisions in this paragraph 7 have not been complied with. 

7.2.7 Pending dates displayed on transactions are purely for guidance only and are not a guaranteed date for the receipt of commission and therefore the payment of the Points.  We accept no liability in relation to any delay of payment of Points.  

7.2.8 We reserve the right to reclaim or adjust any Points payments in the event that any Points have been paid to you in error. See paragraph 14.

7.3 How to collect Points with our Betting Partners 

Generally, Members can collect Points on activity with our Betting Partners in two ways, namely: 

  • If you register or open an account (and deposit funds) with our Betting Partners for the first time; 
  • You carry out transactional betting activity with one of our Betting Partners 

Please note our Betting Partners have their own specific rules concerning the collection of Points (particularly in relation to how you collect Points for opening an account and depositing funds with the relevant Betting Partner).
