The Dell Technologies Championship takes place at TPC Boston this weekend, with Rory McIlroy looking to defend his title.
Formerly called the Deutsche Bank Championship, the tournament has been won by some big names in the past including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh and Adam Scott.
This year’s competition again sees the leading names in golf looking for ranking points ahead of the BMW Championship and the Tour Championship in weeks to come.
World number one Dustin Johnson will be looking to build on a stunning victory in the Northern Trust Open last weekend, in the first of four lucrative PGA Tour FedEx play-offs. Johnson clawed back a five-shot deficit before beating fellow American Jordan Spieth in a sudden-death play-off.
Sweden’s Henrik Stenson also arrives in Massachusetts in good form after winning the Wyndham Championship by a single shot in North Carolina two weeks ago.
Other likely contenders this week include Hideki Matsuyama who has been a consistent performer in recent months, and Spieth who won The Open at Royal Birkdale last month.
Elsewhere, Sergio Garcia will be looking to return to the form that saw him win the Masters in April – the Spaniard hasn’t recorded a top ten finish since claiming the Green Jacket.
